The Static V is not a cold-night pad. The baffles and the R-value are a summer tool. If your trips dip into the 40s at night, spend the money on insulation, not on a thicker-looking pad with no R-value to show.

Who should buy it. Summer campers and first overnights in warm weather.

Best for. Warm-weather beginners watching the budget

Standout limitation. Low insulation
